Sheriff Ron Rides with his Posse

False Prophet Ronald Weinland was in Denver today. He delivered the sad news that Vicki Snowdeal died from her cancer, despite his visit there last Sunday. Vicki will have a funeral on Tuesday, unlike some others who chose not to have one. The Spokesman Witness will be officiating, so he can tell all her relatives that Vicki will be resurrected on May 26, 2012. But they won't see her because they'll die a horrible death unless they repent and follow Ron. I hope none of them follow the suggestion to make a memorial donation to the Church of God - PKG.

Those nasty people in Cincinnati interrupted the flow of the sermon by calling Laura to complain of varying volume. Probably was really Shawn Christal's fault. When he prayed for the Internet connections for a sermon a year ago, the entire feed went down. In any case, I had no problems so the effect of his opening prayer today must have been redirected.

It seems that a number of the converts gathered last year by the Google Ad campaign have been robbing Ron by not paying their tithes. He's been looking at year-end and quarterly reports and mourns the loss of expected funds from certain people. Names have been taken and rear ends are about to be kicked, either by Ron or one of his elders.

Fellow blogger Dill Weed has moved to a new URL, so if you've bookmarked his site be sure to update it.

Huh, I thought Dill Weed was just being s/h/it's usual sarcastic (and much-appreciated) self when they indicated the sheeple were stealing from God.

Having read similar tales on AW and WCG Alumni, it's heartening to think that modern Church of God members actually do see this as a viable alternative, when the oppression and repression, get out of hand: Back in the day, stealing from God would never, ever, ever been even remotely considered as an option for ministerial abuse.

Then again, the ministerial abuse was a symptom of the more systemic abuse the church engendered.

But yeah, it's a glimmer of hope, that Church of God attendees (no matter what the brand name) actually feel free to with-hold tithes, if actions and behaviour of the clergy begins to penetrate the heavy veil of thought-reform.

I wish my family had felt that free, when we were in. Even the unconverted parent never saw any problem with it, and to this day probably still doesn't. Then again, the unconverted parent probably has no idea how much really went to the church, when all was said and done......

He mourns when people don't tithe?
When someone doesn't tithe, they cut themselves off from God?
He's going to ask the people who are not tithing to leave?

I don't understand what Biblical authority he has to command tithes from people.

He knows the exact day of the seventh trumpet?
If I understand what the seventh trumpet is supposed to signify, I didn't think even Jesus knew what the exact day was. What gives?

It makes me wonder what kind of blooper it's going to take to open the eyes of those in his church. Or will they follow him all the way to 2012? So sad.

Ron is not going to have any staying power beyond 2012. I doubt he'll last through 2011.
He's just dug himself in too deep.

ILFPRW will keep prophesying so long as he's able. The question is what is the staying power of his followers.

And judging by this other comment, he's still attracting new followers. Lucky that some of them ask questions.

And yet another example in this other comment. Someone else saved from enslavement by this false prophet, and all he had to do was question.

Hopefully even more will start to question.

Don't you have anything better to do then attack people. It is very sad to see this sick behaviour. You should have a long hard look at your self.

Kelleyjray said...

Agito, why are you attacking Mike? Maybe you should have a long, hard look at yourself.
Actually, Mike is “attacking” no one. He is merely pointing out to people a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Jesus said in Mathew 7:16-15: “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?” From RW’s last sermon it would seem as if he is certainly getting pretty “ravenous” about his tithe money. After all, it takes a lot of money to travel all around the world. And its spring; take a look at his house and you will see that a lot of mulch is required to keep the wolf den looking like a shepherd’s pen. New, spiffy cloths are also required from time to time. After all, sackcloth is expensive these days. Oh, I forgot…RW wears spiritual sackcloth. Maybe his flock is giving “spiritual” tithes, and RW just doesn’t have the “ears to hear or eyes to see”? Don’t worry Ronnie, I am sure your lost tithes are “a spiritual matter and can only be revealed and seen spiritually.” So I end this thought with a question, was Jesus wrong in the driving the merchants and money changers out of the temple like a pack of thieves, or was he attacking them unjustly? After all, they were just trying to serve their god just like RW and you see what Jesus thought of their efforts.

Fleecing Sheeples is fun and lucrative.
Until the young'ins a-start not payin the bills, Rons bills that is. All Tiths in Rons Cult go to Ron for Rons use upon Rons projects for Rons gain. There is no Church here, there is but Ron and his Sheeples. Fortunately it's a small herd and the vast majority of poeple are way to smart for this simple con/swindle. But some shall get fleeced, for the wolf has to eat too...

Wake up Agito!!! You send money to someone who told you the USA would not exist by election time, and would not be able to elect, let alone inaugurate, a president.

You can not stay in "God's Church" if you do not tithe? Which god is this?

Psst, Agito

I just posted something you might find enlightening.

Agito, while your comment is against the commenting rules I'm going to leave it because it says more about you than it does me.

Kelleyjray has already pointed out your hypocrisy. There are others who would disagree with you about the value of my blog, as evidenced by this comment to another post. And there's also this other comment on a different post.

How long have you been following Ron? Are you a baptized member?

...speaking of money & tithes, did the 4th Thunder on Rons book, 2008, begin to form and then peter out? If the stock market continues to rebound like its current, conservative but upbeat, course then is the 4th thunder volume actually being turned down? If the 4th volume continues to decrease in effect & revurberation does this remove that thunder from Ron's "Pandora's Box"?
That was Ron's very best example as none of the others really took shape (yet?), and now it is receading back... As I understood it they where to become every more pronounced and not fade away...

RW will neeeeed all the money he can gather for his defence when he is arrested by the IRS. Many people will continue to follow him beyond 2012. Many will follow him when he gives "directives" from his prison cell. They will read the words in the bible from Paul while he was in prison. Many will continue to follow, life is too scary to be independent of a spiritual leader. :-(

Agito, please.....
Everything written in The Bible is far away from those two witnesses! I've almost been where you're right now! Almost.....thanks to all the critics I found on the net I started thinking and reading. Believe me: RW is THE false prophet!

Dill Weed said...

Agito,

Even as a false prophet, Ron fails to measure up. Sure he's got the failed prophecies part covered, but he not performed any 'powerful works.' Of course, it takes just one to become a false prophet, but there's a whole nother level Ron hasn't reached. I think Ron may be likened to a warm up act for mighty false prophets waiting in the wings to mislead many. And that's another thing, Ron's not really leading many at all. Maybe, 20,000? If that. That's nothing.

I am not following Ron nor am I in the COG PKG. I was pointing out that all this time attacking Ron Weinland is not healthly behaviour.

I don't believe Jesus spent all His time attcaking one single false prophet.

I don't send any tithe (the biblical tithe is only on agricultural products, not money) to any church. Nor am I in the cog pkg. I was saying that it wrong to spend all this time attacking a man. If you disagree with Ron Weinland then fine. Let him go as he is because no work that does not have God in it will not last.

Neither do I spend all my time attcaking or even attacking one single false prophet. Perhaps you think I should spend time attacking others.

As far as unhealthy behavior, hardly so. This despite the death curse the false prophet has placed on me.

Dill Weed said...

Agito,

I'm glad you are not in COG-PKG. You have at least idenifited RW as someone who is not to be followed and your not sending tithes. RW would disagree about the agricultural products though. He sent back the chickens I sent him : )

With respect to RWs work not 'lasting in God's view'. God's view is geologic.

Unsuspecting, uncritical people are being taken in by RW's claims. So in the short term, RW is causing harm and needs to be opposed (mocked, too, I say, but that's just me! Don't hold it against me. We may not agree, but there's no need to be enemies.)

Those adopting RWs belief system have much to lose. Their whole outlook on life changes and they are HAVE to financially suppport COG-PKG.
RW says if you stop tithing, you have dropped God. He's putting the screws to people who believe he's God's prophet. RW is engeaged in mind, attitude, and behavioral control of people. It's pure and simple. Some do not have intellectual defenses against that. That's what this is all about.

This from someone who has been there and under the control of an organization far more sophisticated than RW.

Agito,

Blogs like this are not attacking RW. They are exposing him for what he is.

When some person reads his free book and is intrigued to join the Cog Pkg, they can search "Ronald Weinland" to get some information on him.

If many of the results come up exposing him for what he is, have those types of blogs not done a service to keep innocent people safe?

I personally have not "attacked" RW. Yes, sometimes there is humour involved. Most of the time it is fact based warning.

Agito,

You said: "Let him go as he is because no work that does not have God in it will not last."

As a former WCG member (30+ years), I can tell you this sort of teaching lasts GENERATIONS even though it is false. Just because someone teaches a message without God in it doesn't mean it won't last. RW's teaching's are very destructive, hurtful and manipulative. I understand your reluctance in mocking Ron; even the repugnance of it. But however the message is delivered...it must be delivered. RW will be found AGAIN as a false prophet. But people will continue to follow for generations. Through scrutiny and yes, mockery, SOME people will doubt Ron and turn away. Those people will be glad they didn't follow him when they still have their retirement accounts and family relationships.
If you are not following RW and don't really understand the destructiveness of his teachings, none of this will make sense to you.
Have a Blessed night. You will so long as you don't follow RW.
