Dueling Prophets Call For Each Other's Death

David Pack gave a sermon on July 19th. In it he said:
Now this goofy fellow who moved to the Middle East and proclaimed things that were going to happen all through the Spring and into the Summer, and supposedly as recently as Wednesday was another big date. Of course none of it happened. He's a false prophet. But what did happen is, he explained that things are taking longer than he'd thought. He actually publicly chastised himself for speaking perhaps a little presumptuously when nuclear destruction didn't happen. Now what he should do is look in the Old Testament and see exactly what God says you should do with a false prophet. I didn't note him announcing that should occur. God said don't fear such a person. Just put them to death. That's the end of it. But instead people will continue to listen to somebody who's blown a trumpet and screamed that he's false.

A bit of context. The prior Wednesday, July 16th, was the end of the 45-90-day period proclaimed by Ronald Weinland for "nukular" explosions in port cities. (Ron should listen to Pack to learn how to pronounce "nuclear".)

Pack got a few things right, and also some wrong. Weinland is a "goofy fellow" but he didn't move to the Middle East, he only visited Jerusalem for a week. Weinland is still humbly living in splendor in the Cincinnati area, in a house similar to Pack's manse a couple of hundred miles north in Wadsworth, Ohio.

Weinland has already called for Pack's death in his book "2008: God's Final Witness" as part of the 5th Thunder that he invented. See page 108 where Ron wrote:
The sound of this thunder will be intensified by
the early deaths of the leaders of the Philadelphia Church of God,
the Restored Church of God and the Church of the Great God
. For those unfamiliar with the various CoGs, Dave Pack is the ayatollah of the Restored Church of God.

Pack has a little more basis for his call for Weinland's death. Deut. 18:20-22 says:
20 But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded him to say, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, must be put to death."

21 You may say to yourselves, "How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the LORD ?"
22 If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously. Do not be afraid of him
.

I wonder if in 2020 Pack will be calling for death when his vague prophecies don't materialize. Actually, I don't wonder. He'll say that things are slowing down, or maybe even paused so that the church can better prepare.

Dave is mimicking Herbert Armstrong to a tee so he will know exactly when to announce that "God is giving us more time." It will coincide with the need to move ahead with the building program and the "mindboggling view" from his Penthouse office on the fourth floor.
