Ronald Weinland Twists and Distorts

This week False Prophet Ronald Weinland took his false prophecy show on the road. On Saturday (May 31) he was in Forsyth, Georgia.

One bright spot in this week's sermon: no baptisms were announced. Instead, he spent the announcement time discussing marathons, actual marathons and not spiritual ones. Let's hope that no more fish are biting on his Google Adwords.

He continued with the fifth chapter of his book "2008 GFW" at the point where he left off. Meaning that he didn't back up and cover the pages he skipped last week.

The audio file for the May 31 sermon may be downloaded here. It includes a few minutes before Weinland's show begins. The times given in the discussion that follows correspond to the locations in this file. If you download the sermon from the COG-PKG website later on it will have at minimum the opening and closing prayers removed, and the timestamps won't match.

At 47:35 reading the following from page 123 of "2008 GFW" about the Fifth Trumpet:
"(5) the protection of God’s elect and the torment and trying (testing) of those who have refused to repent in the environs of God’s scattered Church. he goes on to comment, and made the following statement.

48:23 "There are certain thunders that will not take place until that period of time, and yet people have been waiting for certain thunders to take place."

From the context, he must have been referring to the Fifth Thunder, which hasn't yet sounded despite this statement on page 115:
"During the Sixth Seal, all Seven Thunders will be getting progressively louder. Before the Seventh (and final) Seal is opened, the Seven Thunders will become so pronounced that the validity of everything written about them in the previous chapter should roar loudly in the ears of anyone who is willing to admit the truth."

52:13 Addresses critics: could care less... refers to his crisis on Monday several weeks ago.
I think his crisis was sanity trying to break free, unsuccessfully so.

At 54:40, he repeats his contradiction from last week about the training of those sealed ".. just because the sealing takes place doesn't mean that there's not a lot of training and a lot of molding and fashioning that's still taking place ..."

55:10 "... I can give you a road map right now... for the next several months.... but I can't."

62:59 fifth trumpet could be two years later than April 17 (2010)

67:02 "If what I say weren't to come pass and I was a false prophet -- What a blessing that would be.... some of you yo-yos who like to attack and distort and twist things... And by the way I want to mention that your progression of I said would start on you is already progressing more and some of you already know it. I know of one individual specifically here not too long ago -- a little worried about their health There are several of you out there that should be worried about your health. You think it's just coincidence??? Amazing."

Ron, if you want to see the person who's doing the most distorting and twisting of your word, go look in the mirror. We're just pointing out the distorting and twisting that you're doing, and the contradictions between your book and what you're saying now. Also between your book and reality.

And you can get away with it, because as Seeker of Truth points out, your critics are more familiar with your writings than your own followers.

As far as my health, I feel just as well as I did before the minor false prophet laid his bogus curse on me a month and a half ago. And I imagine that all the bloggers I link are doing well too. Given the failures of your prophecies so far, Ron, mocking and criticizing you is a life-extender.

Next week, Ron's False Prophecy Road Show is in Orlando, FL for Pentecost. Those familiar with the false prophet's blather understand the significance of next weekend.

He wont step down...
He will probably make up more lies and deceits to his already inflating repertoire. Stay tuned because the list of 'excuses' will include his recent secret concoction:
The "Physical & Spiritual duality" of the trumpets - meaning small events...and I mean small common types of events (incl relevant, irrelevant & non happening) will be 'prophetically' added up and propped up with the spiritual to make it 'look' big.
Rest assured that with his clever word 'acrobaticsm' he will breeze through it just like mentor Armstrong did with his False prophetic prophesies.
Reality says that he is not even a False Prophet to begin with. Why? Because False Prophets are supposed
to produce fake/lying signs and wonders (read the bible congregation. ..it's all in there)
This undoubtedly puts him further down (or up?) on Satan's ladder to the common-conman category preying
(that's with an "e" not an a) for your money.

With almost half the year over his predictions, prophesies & blunders has taken on a more 'spiritual'
tone (now who would have guess that...?) undoubtedly gently preparing his congregation and himself for the fall and demise of the Armstrongist Reich of the Cogpkg.
Those pesky critics and those pesky non-physical happenings!
Phew! It's not easy being a False Prophet!!

I disagree with you on one point. It's only the great false prophet who can do miracles.

Weinland is a false prophet, since some of his prophecies have already failed. So he is one of the many minor false prophets.

But I agree that he's going to spin his prophetic failures using whatever techniques he can muster toward the problem. But maybe (hopefully anyway) his flock will add no more sheeple.

May not be easy being a false prophet -- but profitable.

I've asked before, and I'll ask again if anyone knows. Is Mr. Weinland wearing sackcloth? The two witnesses are supposed to do that throughout the 1,260 days, per Revelation 11:3.

Orlando for Pentecost?! A little close to those shorelines for nuclear bombs, isn't he?

But Revelation 11:5 says he won't be harmed -- so what a dramatic proof of his title THAT will be!

The minor false prophet is wearing the "sackcloth of humility." It's all spiritual, you see.

There's not humble bone in his body.

Maybe it's morbid curiousity on my part, but there isn't anything on any of the blogrolls that could even be twisted, distorted, or perverted, to suggest that anyone's health is failing, never mind anything else other than tiptop. Where'd he get that from?

More proof Rotten Ronnie is pulling it all from his nether regions? You betcha!

It's a bit like a fake faith healer. "I'm senssing someone out there who is discouraged, another doesn't feel well. I'm sensing some is having financial problems and another a pain in his chest."

Pretty good chance someone is going to praise God and say, "He's talking about meeeeeeeeeeeee."

Remember, Ron Weinland is ANTI-the gospel of Jesus Christ. His teachings are fundamentally anti-Christ. His teachings directly contradict the teachings of Jesus and the apostles in the new testament. Even Jesus himself told us to beware of people like Ron.

His prophecies have failed. His ministry will only continue because some people, who believe his false gospel (what Ron is preaching), will continue to financially support his fanaticism. How long will they continue to hold on after they no longer seek to know which which city to avoid because of destruction? Only time will tell.

Isn't it interesting, however, that he doesn't talk of a "place of safety" that Armstrong continually preached about? I mean, doesn't RW care about his flock enough to offer them an escape from the Great Tribulation?
